Device Private Deployment Broker Configuration
After the Broker is successfully set up, you need to send the private deployment configuration information to the device and save it. Only then will the device operate in private deployment mode.
There are three methods to configure private deployment for the device:
· Direct Configuration Method Suitable for a small number of devices
· Platform Registration Method Suitable for batch configuration
· Private Deployment Hotspot Method Suitable for custom configuration
Comparison of the Three Configuration Methods
| Configuration Method | Description |
| Direct Configuration |
Suitable for a small number of devicesModify the private deployment configuration items directly on the device's configuration page. After restarting the device, it will enter the corresponding private deployment mode. |
| Console Private Deployment Configuration |
Suitable for batch configurationOn the console, register the corresponding "message server" or "gateway", and specify information such as the scope of use. After the device goes online and connects to the platform, the platform will send its private deployment information to the device. After restarting the device, it will enter the corresponding private deployment mode. |
| Private Deployment Hotspot Configuration |
Suitable for custom configurationOn-site at the device, enable the "private deployment configuration hotspot" (formatted as: pvt-Interface-IP-Address-Interface-Port). The device will prioritize connecting to this hotspot and read the device's private deployment configuration information; it can also read and save the device's network information. |
Device Operating Modes
After the device enters private deployment mode, it will show as offline on the platform, and the platform will lose control of it.
At this point, you can verify whether the device has successfully connected to the private deployment Broker through the following methods:
| Method | Description |
|---|---|
| Check Interface Logs | If the NTP and registration interfaces record logs, check if there are device request records in the logs. |
| Check the Broker | Check if the Broker has new device connections. |
If the device is online on the platform: You can see its status as [Online] on the console, which means the device is operating in platform mode.
You can check whether the message server is correctly configured for the device on the device details page. If the configuration is correct, the configuration information has been sent to the device.
Restart the device at this point (you can perform a soft restart on the debugging page, or directly power the device on again).
